Baltimore Review News: We’re gathering the final pieces for our winter issue, and that needs to be wrapped up soon so that the issue can be published this month. And there’s planning to do for our AWP table and a presentation at the ESWA Bay to Ocean Writers Conference (both in March)—that last one is kind of a two-hat (writer and BR rep) activity.
On a personal note: Cleaver published four of my micros on December 29—a great way to end my 2025 writing year!
Hoping to work out a more structured writing schedule for myself and get 2026 off to a good start. Feeling like I have boatloads of raw material from various generative writing workshops to work with. Timed-writing, 25 minutes, often works for me—as long as I know what I’ll be working on and have a head start before I set the timer.
And I’ll be teaching a spring semester Zoom course, “Creative Writing Techniques” for the Renaissance Institute here in Baltimore—a generative writing workshop—so I’m working on my notes and slides for that. Maybe I’ll share some of those notes in the weeks ahead.
