Baltimore Review News: Our Submittable doors close at midnight, and the submissions are flowing in. Writers—we’re all such procrastinators. Will add a statistics update tomorrow. Often an eye-opener for writers.

The statistics for the four-month submission period that ended November 30, 2025. With two submission periods each year, we’re looking at over 14,000 submissions per year. Crazy, right?

Two new interviews on our blog. Jill Sisson Quinn interviews Jeannie Vanasco, and Jane Satterfield interviews Dorian Elizabeth Knapp.

On a personal note: Scheduled to have a brief talk and reading at a local high school with another BR reader tomorrow morning. For my part, I’ll chat a bit about the journal and read three very short works, discussing a few differences between the forms: flash, micro, prose poem. I’ll be hobbling in with a sprained ankle. Missed a step—that I absolutely knew was there—at a bowling alley. I seriously have to be more careful. There are too many events coming up in December!
