Baltimore Review News:
I’m always super proud when our contributors are honored. Congratulations to Baltimore Review contributors Hannah Keziah Agustin (poetry) and Anne Rudig (creative nonfiction) on being honored as Best of the Net finalists and to all the Best of the Net winners!
We are currently making selections for our spring issue, which we plan to publish later this month. So many submissions, and not an easy process.
I opened up the summer contest categories, and they’re now open through May 31: prose poems, flash fiction, flash creative nonfiction. All details are included in our submission guidelines. Hope to announce a final judge soon.
If you’re attending Baltimore’s CityLit Festival on April 11, stop by our table and say hello. We love to chat!
Now in our 30th year of publishing. How cool is that.
On a personal note: I’m bouncing back between writing poems and stories. Finished a ghost story—my first, I think—and sent it out to a few journals. Not sure about where that one will be a good fit. We’ll see.
Still participating in workshops of various kinds. Like journals, finding workshops that are a perfect fit can be a challenge. And sometimes, like so many other activities in life, they may be good for a season of your life—and then it’s time to move on to something new. Something I should mull over—maybe write a post on that for the BR blog.
