Baltimore Review News:
About 15 minutes ago, I clicked buttons and cut and pasted code and did all the tech things to make the spring 2026 issue live. Quite an eclectic mix this time—so all the more interesting. Cheers to everyone who made the issue possible! The writers (of course) and all the BR staff members who read/commented/voted on submissions and proofread the issue (an incredibly important step in the process), created social media and blog posts, and loaded all the bits and pieces onto the website.
Now on to the summer issue.
The reading never ends. Realized we received over 15,000 submissions over the past 12 months. Crazy, right? But I think we do a pretty good job of keeping up, all things considered.
On a personal note:
All quiet on the submission front (OK, a few declines, sometimes with encouraging notes). I’ve managed to write a couple of poems that I feel good about. Mostly, I’m enjoying the creative process—and with the spring issue wrapped up, and just one more class to go teaching a creative writing class—I’ll have a little more time for that.
Looking forward to having my chapbook in hand and a reading to celebrate that at Atomic Books in Baltimore on June 13.
